Hi! After a long time of online meetings, the DIGY partners finally met again in person in Malta. And it was great! 🤩 The meeting started with a 3-day training where youth work professionals could discover, develop, and share creative and successful participation methods.

We tested the latest features of OPIN, especially the new e-learning section. With the videos, texts and podcasts provided in this section, initiators can receive orientation and support in every phase of their e-participation project: starting with an initial idea, followed by a preparation and participation phase, and finally ending with an outcome phase 🤔

🎈 The e-learning section will be available in 10 languages on OPIN free of charge from 1 June! Check it out! WWW.OPIN.ME ðŸ¤©

HOW TO ENGAGE YOUNG PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT DIGITAL YOUTH PARTICIPATION IS? 🤔

TIP #1 Connect e-participation with people's needs. Communicate experiences & solutions: digital youth participation makes lives easier.

TIP #2 Be visual: less worries about the quality, do more videos.

TIP #3 Use a peer-to-peer approach. People look for people they can connect to.

TIP #4 Map the right channels. If your target audience is on Instagram, why do you start every morning with Facebook?

TIP #5 Involve young people in planning & preparation. It's okay not to know how to make TikTok videos or cover Instagram stories during your events. By sharing these challenges with young people, you will find natural magic your communication is may lacking ✨
